The Syrian Dictatorship Must be Crushed

The Syrian dictatorship has read well into the US recent declarations that it does not plan a military option in the foreseeable future to reverse its aggression against Lebanon and the rest of the Middle East. This US stand seems part of a European strategy to mull the EU back into a cooperative relationship with America. Unfortunately this balancing act by the US may have tilted the Syrian dictatorship towards further delaying tactics to evade the world’s demand it withdraws from Lebanon.

The world community is getting an education on dealing with the Syrian Baath Dictatorship. It will eventually realize the truth, that it is facing a clique of bandits and war criminals. A Mafia that was raised on, practices, lives by, and understands only the language of force. The Free world must deal with the root of the problem and not its symptoms. We must cut the head of the snake. Total, immediate, and unconditional Syrian withdrawal is not enough. The Syrian regime must be crushed. They have a history of leaving through the door only to return from the window like a thief in the middle of the night. Tyrannies should not be rewarded with face-saving formulas.

The Syrian dictatorship is also incapable of self-reform. Its ruling class has 30 years of blood on its hands and will never acquiesce to the rule of the people nor willingly face their justice. Assad, Khaddam, Tlass, Sharaa, Kannaan, Gazali, and many more of these cowardly, filthy, hypocrites, war criminals, have shed the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Israeli, Iraqi, and international citizens. Like father, like son, Bashar Assad is an arrogant but cowardly thug who does not deserve to be treated as a statesman, Even the Syrian people interviewed on TV after the dictator’s speech to his rubber-stamp parliament, reflected a defiant and insulting attitude towards the goodwill of the Lebanese and world people, and to UN resolution 1559.

Both the Syrian leadership and its supporters within Syria need a lesson in humility. This collective must be defeated, not appeased. It must be crushed, and a new Syria needs to be born from its ashes. Unlike the current one which is based on the lowest bestial instincts of murder, lies, oppression, fear, mass indoctrination, cult of personality, illusions of grandeur, exploitation of people, the pillage of Lebanon, and the export of terrorist murder machines to its neighbors. Rather a New Bright Syria; a Democratic, Peaceful, Progressive, and Humanistic society. Only then could we have brotherly relations. Only then shall true Peace come to the Middle East.

The reign of the Assassins must end.
