On November 15, the Lebanese National News Agency carried the following report:
Deputy Sami Gemayel assured that the major headline of the coming stage was equality on a 50-50 basis in all things related to political and national life, adding that the
Christians were no longer going to accept being anything but equal partners in negotiations, formations, governments and the writing of history. He then addressed the head of the Change and Reform bloc General Michel Aoun for the first time through the media, asking him “not to ignore the sacrifices of the Lebanese resistance, from which he is not too far away, [and to not] allow anyone to interfere between them or choose others over comrades in the long journey.”
 Deputy Gemayel’s statements were delivered during a celebration to unveil the “Lebanese Kataeb Martyrs Memorial” - Kfar Zebian branch - in Kesrouan ... Deputy Gemayel thus welcomed the “honorable memory of the people of Kesrouan, namely the Kfar Zebian town branch, for their commemoration of the martyrs of the Kataeb Party who sacrificed themselves to serve the free and sovereign Lebanese entity,” corroborating the “comprehensive patriotism of the Kataeb Party, which is trying first and foremost to protect and uphold the fabric of this country and community to which we belong and to move forward toward improving and developing its official, constitutional and private institutions alike.
 “From this location in particular and for the sake of the sacrifices we made during and after the war, [so] that no one is allowed to erase these sacrifices in the blink of an eye, since we cannot continue ignoring the case, the struggle and the reality of the other component of this country. Today, our call to redraw the book of history aims at ensuring a common reading for the sacrifices of all the sides, starting with the Kataeb and ending with the Free Patriotic Movement, the Guardians of the Cedars and Hezbollah in the South, whether during the confrontation with the Syrian army, the Palestinians or the Israelis. Our sacrifices should be treated equally, so that the different resistance movements are not classified as being first or second degree actors, thereby permitting the disregarding of a long history of struggle or the recognition of only one part of it, while excluding the other.”
Gemayel then stressed that each party should be given its share in school history books, “so that we are not deprived of mentioning the heroism of our martyrs in a state or a community that does not wish to recognize us or shed light on the glorious stages in our history.
 “We should build the foundations of the Lebanese community on solid rocks, and this can only be ensured through recognition of the other and a confirmation that we are a key component of this fabric. We do not wish to say that Lebanon would not have existed without it or that we have more rights at this level than the others, seeing as how resistance is a social action and is not exclusive to one side or another. If recognition of the sacrifices of one resisting team is rejected, this means we are refusing to recognize society as a whole… We are only demanding recognition of our rights and history in full and wish to be real and active partners in the rewriting of the history books and the school curricula. We will also be active in the public administrations and the official and constitutional institutions, since the country cannot survive without the Christians.”
 On the other hand, he directly addressed the head of the Change and Reform Bloc General Michel Aoun asking him not to ignore the sacrifices of the Lebanese resistance from which he was not that far away, and the heroism seen in past stages especially against the armed Palestinian presence in Tel al-Zaatar, to protect and uphold history. He also called on him not to allow anyone “to come between us, not to choose others over their comrades in the long journey and to recognize the role of all the political parties in defending the country’s sovereignty and independence, since we in the Kataeb Party is not overlooking the sacrifices of others, especially those of the Lebanese army, during the Liberation War stage… Therefore, we must build new foundations and set new standards, starting with reconciliation, total honesty, respect and love without wishing evil upon the others… In case a team was to decide not to recognize our presence and sacrifices, he should say so in public, because we are not willing to support or stand alongside a state or a side which does not recognize us... Our hand will remain extended to all the sides to build a state of equality, development, modernity and the state of the law …”

سياسة - النائب سامي الجميل رعى احتفال ازاحة الستار عن لوحة شهداء الكتائب في كفرذبيان:

عنوان المرحلة المقبلة المساواة في كل الامور الوطنية لا نطلب سوى الاعتراف بمقاومتنا وتضحياتنا وحقوقنا

وطنية 16/11/09- اكد النائب سامي الجميل ان العنوان العريض للمرحلة المقبلة هو المساواة على قاعدة 50% في كل الأمور التي تتحكم بالحياة السياسية والوطنية، معتبرا ان المسيحيين لن يرضوا بعد اليوم الا يكونوا شركاء بالمناصفة في المفاوضات والتشكيلات والحكومات وكتابة التاريخ. وتوجه النائب للجميل الى رئيس تكتل التغيير والاصلاح العماد ميشال عون للمرة الأولى عبر الاعلام طالبا منه "عدم تجاهل تضحيات المقاومة اللبنانية والذي هو ليس ببعيد عنها أو السماح لاحد بالدخول فيما بيننا او تفضيل الغير على رفاق الدرب الطويل". كلام النائب الجميل جاء خلال رعايته حفل ازاحة الستار عن "لوحة شهداء حزب الكتائب اللبنانية - " قسم بلدة "كفرذبيان"- قضاء كسروان، وذلك في حضور رئيس الاقليم سامي خويري واعضاء اللجنة النتفيذية فيه، اضافة الى المحازبين وفاعليات المنطقة من رؤساء بلديات ومخاتير. بداية النشيد الوطني ومن ثمّ استلام شعلة الوفاء والحرية والشهادة ووضع اكاليل الغار على النصب التذكاري وتوزيع الدروع على ذوي الشهداء ورئيس الاقليم سامي خويري.

كلمة الجميّل

وحيّ النائب الجميل "تلك الذاكرة الشريفة لابناء قضاء كسروان سيما قسم بلدة كفرذيبان، لاحيائهم ذكرى شهداء حزب الكتائب الذين ضحوا بانفسهم ذوداً عن لبنان الحرية والسيادة والكيان"، مؤكداً على "وطنية حزب الكتائب الشاملة والهادفة بالدرجة الاولى الى الابقاء والمحافظة على اواصر وطن ومجتمع ننتمي اليه وبالتالي الدفع قدماً باتجاه تطوير وتحسين مؤسساته الرسمية والدستورية والخاصة على حد سواء". وقال النائب الجميل : نطالب من هنا ومن اجل تلك التضحيات التي قمنا بها خلال الحرب وبعدها، بعدم السماح لأي كان بمحوها في "غمضة عين"، اذ لا يمكننا الاستمرار في سياسة تجاهل قضية نضال اوحقيقة الطرف الاخر المكوّن للوطن.

وتابع: وما دعوتنا اليوم الى صياغة جديدة لكتاب التاريخ سوى لقراءة مشتركة لتضحياتنا جميعاً ، بدءاً من حزب الكتائب الى الوطنيين الاحرار الى حراس الارز الى التنظيم وصولاً الى حزب الله في الجنوب، سواء في مواجهة الجيش السوري او الفلسطيني او الاسرائيلي فنكون جميعا على قدم المساواة بحيث لا يتمّ تصنيف المقاومات فئة اولى او ثانية وبالتالي التنكر لتاريخ نضالي طويل او الاعتراف بجزء منه دون سواه. وشددّ الجميل على اعطاء كل صاحب حق حقه في كتاب التاريخ المدرسي، بحيث لا نحرم نحن من تسطير بطولات شهدائنا في دولة او مجتمع لا يريد الاعتراف بنا او الاضاءة على حقبات مجيدة من تاريخنا . واضاف :" واجب علينا بناء دعائم المجتمع اللبناني على صخر، ولا يمكن ذلك سوى من خلال الاعتراف بالاخر والجزم باننا مكون اساس من هذا النسيج، فنحن لا نريد القول بان لا وجود للبنان من دوننا او لنا الافضلية على غيرنا في هذا الاطار، اذ المقاومة هي عمل مجتمعي وليست حصراً لمجموعة او طرف، واذا ما رفض الاعتراف تضحية فريق مقاوم فهذا الأمر يعتبر بمثابة رفض الاعتراف بمجتمع بكامله".

ودعا الدولة والاطراف كافة، بعيد انجاز التشكيلة الحكومية الى تحمل مسؤولية بناء وطن وليس مؤسسة محاصصة والوقوف على هموم وشجون المواطن والتطلع نحو مستقبل افضل للبلاد نعيش فيه بسلام ، دون تعطيل او اساءة للاخر.

وقال :" نحن لا نطالب سوى الاعتراف بحقوقنا وتاريخنا والذي لا نريده مجتزأً، كما نريد ان نكون شركاء فاعلين وحقيقين في كتاب التاريخ والمناهج المدرسية على حد سواء ،وسنكون فاعلين ، وكذلك في الادارات العامة والمؤسسات الرسمية والدستورية فمن دون المسيحي لا يمكن لهذا البلد الاستمرار".

وتوجه الى رئيس تكتل التغيير والاصلاح العماد ميشال عون مباشرة مطالبا اياه بعدم التنكر لتضحيات "المقاومة اللبنانية" والذي هو ليس ببعيد عنها وعن البطولات التي خيضت في مرحلة سابقة لا سيما في النضال ضد الوجود الفلسطيني المسلح في تل الزعتر ، حفاظا على التاريخ وصونا له ،مناشدا اياه عدم السماح لاحد بالدخول فيما بيننا او تفضيل الغير على رفاق الدرب الطويل والاعتراف بدور الاحزاب السياسية كافة في الدفاع عن سيادة واستقلال البلاد، اذ اننا في حزب "الكتائب اللبنانية" لا نتغاضى عن تضحيات احد لا سيما الجيش اللبناني في مرحلة "حرب التحرير" . واضاف :" من هنا لا بد من بناء اسس ومعايير جديدة، تبدأ ضمناً بالمصالحة والمصارحة الحقيقية باحترام ومحبة دون اضمار الشرّ المطبق للاخر .

واعتبر النائب الجميل انه في حال قرر اي فريق عدم الاعتراف بوجودنا وتضحياتنا فعليه قول ذلك علانية، مؤكدا اننا لسنا على استعداد لدعم او الوقوف بجانب دولة او طرف لا يعترف بنا، كما لن نقبل ان نكون خارج اطار التاريخ او تحت معدل المساواة المطلوب اي المناصفة في كل شيء وليس على قاعدة 40- 60 أو 30-70 بل على قاعد ة50% في السطات الثلاث او الحوارات المفترض القيام بها او اي مفاوضات ستجري، مشددا على ابقاء اليد ممدودة للاطراف كافة وذلك لبناء دولة المساواة والتطور والحداثة والقانون.

كلمة خويري

وشدد رئيس الاقليم سامي خويريّ على انه ولولا شهداء حزب الكتائب، لما تّمت المحافظة على الخط المسيحي منذ سبعينات القرن المنصرم الى اليوم، في حين تقاعست المؤسسات الرسمية التي سمحت بامتداد اواصر الفتنة، انذاك، كما حصل راهناً في مخيم "نهر البارد". واضاف:" نحن اليوم امام مرحلة جديدة للنهوض بالحزب الذي ومن دونه لما بقيَ "صليب" على قمم جبال لبنان، وحيث تأتي "الثورة البيضاء" التي يقودها الشيخ سامي الجميّل والتي هي موجهة ضمناً ضد الفساد الاخلاقس والسياسي وفنون التكاذب والنفاق القاتل.

وتابع:" من هنا نأكد للمشككين ونحن على مشارف اليوبيل الذهبي للحزب والذكرى الثالثة لاستشهاد الشيخ بيار الجميّل، البقاء على الثوابت التي رسمها الشيخ المؤسس والقائمة اولاً على: عدم اطفاء شعلة حزب الكتائبووصون حرية وسيادة واستقلال بلدنا والعيش المشترك فيه ومواجهة التحديات كافة وتصحيح الخلل الكامن في النظام السياسي وايجاد الحلول الجذرية للسلاح غير الشرعي.
